Requirements:
• Be a United States Citizen.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be of good moral character, and standards.
• Be a high school graduate, or have passed the G.E.D test.
• Be North Carolina Basic Law Enforcement Training Certified (NC BLET).
• Possess a valid North Carolina Drivers License.
• Have not committed or been convicted of any felony or serious misdemeanors.
• Pass an extensive background investigation, along with a medical and drug screening.
• Be interviewed personally by the Department Head or his representative to determine the applicant's appearance, demeanor, attitude and ability to communicate.
